Shots from my trip to Berlin over New Years

These are some pictures from my recent solo trip to Berlin over 2026 New Year. All shots were taken on my Pentax K1000 with Kodak Gold 200 and Cinestill 800T.

A golden shot of the Moabiter Bridge on the Spree, taken from the Gerickesteg bridge in Berlin

The first picture I took in Berlin, I was very tired and got the train in the wrong direction at Berlin Hbf, and got off at Bellevue S-Bahn station. I took this from the Gerickesteg Bridge over the Spree.

Soviet War Memorial in the Tiergarten, Berlin

I had a walk around the Tiergarten, but the lighting wasn’t ideal so wasn’t able to get many shots. The Soviet War Memorial was lit up beautifully though.

This was the last shot on my Kodak Gold roll that I’d taken for the trip. I stopped at a film shop on day 2 and stocked up on Cinestill 800T to take some night time shots as the sun was drawing in.

These shots were taken near Warschauer Straße station on Cinestill 800T.

As night time drew in, I headed over to Neukölln to get these shots. This is my first time ever trying out night-time film photography and I’m happy with the results.

I woke up the next day surprised to see it had snowed. I hadn’t planned for this at all as it wasn’t in the forecasts. Luckily I still had my Cinestill 800T film loaded with plenty of shots left so I headed out to do some photography in the snow.

Leeds Promotion 2025

Photos from Elland Road of Leeds United’s Premier League Promotion.

These pictures were taken outside Elland Road, following Leeds’ 6-0 win over Stoke. After leaving the match, I went back to my car, grabbed my film camera (I didn’t want to risk damaging it in the ground) and went to the pub to watch Burnley vs Sheffield United. Burnley’s win secured our promotion, so we headed back down to Elland Road for the promotion celebrations. The only film I had available at the time was Fujifilm 200, and the light was quickly fading so shooting was tricky.
